From Gowns to getaways
Iâm Wendy, founder of Wild Wander Destinations and the travel designer behind the scenes.
My first job was Little Caesars Pizza. Not exactly five-star, but I did make a great pizza.
Somehow, that led to luxury bridal salons, five-star hotels, Rodeo Drive, NYC runways, trunk shows, Kleinfeld, and London.
And yes, I know Randy.
Before travel, there were gowns. For years, I helped brides navigate the dress, the details, the opinions, the pressure, and the moment it all finally clicked.
Bridal taught me how to listen. Really listen. To read the room, understand the emotion, notice the details, and hear what someone wants before they fully know how to say it.
That is still how I plan travel.
Now, instead of finding the dress, I help find the hotel, the room, the view, the dinner, the rhythm, and the little details that make a trip feel right.

San Diego born and raised, mom of two, and always ready to talk about where to go next.
My love for travel started in college, when I boarded my first international flight to Israel with 40 strangers and no idea what to expect. It felt wild, intimidating, and completely life-changing. After 15 days of exploring, making memories, and experiencing somewhere totally new, I came home knowing travel was always going to be part of my life.
Eight years later, Iâve planned everything from Tahiti honeymoons and European adventures to Alaska cruises for the whole family. I love helping people sort through the options, feel excited about the process, and land on a trip that feels personal, fun, and worth it.
